First wave of MiCA passports clears as three exchanges win EU-wide approval

Three trading venues have secured full Markets in Crypto-Assets authorisations, allowing them to passport services across the European Union without further national licences.

Compliance chiefs describe the process as document-heavy but predictable, with capital and custody segregation posing the largest hurdles.

A second cohort of applications is expected to clear before the end of the quarter.
