Bitcoin breaks above key resistance as spot ETF inflows accelerate

Bitcoin cleared a level that had capped every rally attempt since the spring, closing the New York session at its highest level in eleven weeks as spot exchange-traded funds recorded a fourth consecutive day of net creations.

Desks describe the bid as unusually patient. Rather than the leveraged spikes that characterised earlier legs higher, order books show steady absorption of supply in the spot market, with perpetual funding rates staying close to neutral.

"The composition of this move is different," one prime brokerage head said. "You are seeing allocators rebalance into the asset rather than traders chasing momentum, and that tends to produce shallower drawdowns."

Options markets echo the shift. Implied volatility on one-month contracts sits well below the levels seen during comparable rallies, while the skew has flattened as demand for downside protection eases.

Analysts caution that a heavy macro calendar could interrupt the trend. Rate expectations remain the dominant driver of cross-asset risk appetite, and a hawkish surprise would test whether the new bid is genuinely price-insensitive.
